Hypro got its start 12 years ago manufacturing stock feed for cattle, pigs and chickens, while in recent times it has added to its range by producing a dog food product.
This product is delivered into rural chains like CRT, Elders and Landmark and recently the orders have been increasing so Hypro decided to invest in its own trailer.
“We carry a fair volume each month so this tipper will be used to cart our raw material from grain bins as well as taking finished product to our customers and other feed mills,” explains John Camineri from Hypro.

The unit runs daily from Newcastle to Sydney and does a lot of metro work in the Sydney area. “We got the unit in early December 2008 and have been putting it through its paces since then. Muscat is a great company to deal with and I couldn’t criticise them in any way. They worked closely with us to design our trailers to meet our needs and the result is a trailer that works well and has an excellent quality finish.”

We spent a considerable amount of time with the design engineers at Muscat Trailers.Meng Duong ( BE ) Mech Engineer was able to simulate our design using the inventor 3D design software. It’s fascinating to see the trailer being designed by the computer. We were very impressed with the time taken to ensure that all of our specific requirements were incorporated into the drawings. We were able to see the outcome before any welding commenced.
I insisted on only the best equipment to be installed, so that meant specifying Alcoa Dura bright wheels with Kumho KRT03 tyres, Hendrickson Intraax air suspension with lift axles, Stainless steel tool box & polished aluminium water tank.

The trailers, aluminium tipping (TOA) 36 foot long, seven foot high .It also features different chain levels on the back, door locks, weigh gauges and chrome finishing throughout. It is also running on mass management, allowing Hypro to cart higher weights on approved routes.
